A model district, built by design.
ICAN Ilupeju/Gbagada & District Society (IGDS) was conceived not as one district among many, but as a standard the rest could measure against, in compliance, in training, and in service.
- OUR STORY
The dream for the formation of Ilupeju/Gbagada & District Society (IGDS) of ICAN was conceived in September 2018. It was approved as a full‑fledged district society of ICAN by the Council of the Institute in March 2020.
IGDS was formally inaugurated by the 56th President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Dame Onome Joy Adewuyi, FCA, at the Banquet Hall of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos — a ceremony that set the tone for the district’s culture ever since.

Our Vision
We aim to be a model district recognized for nurturing young accountants, enhancing their professional competence, and upholding the highest ethical standards. Our vision is to serve as a beacon of excellence, not just within ICAN but across all professional bodies, by fostering growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning among our members.
